Καὶ προβὰς ἐκεῖθεν εἶδεν ἄλλους δύο ἀδελφούς, Ἰάκωβον τὸν τοῦ Ζεβεδαίου καὶ Ἰωάννην τὸν ἀδελφὸν αὐτοῦ, ἐν τῷ πλοίῳ μετὰ Ζεβεδαίου τοῦ πατρὸς αὐτῶν καταρτίζοντας τὰ δίκτυα αὐτῶν· καὶ ἐκάλεσεν αὐτούς.

And going on from there, he saw two other brothers, Jacob the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, in a boat with Zebedee their father, mending their nets; and he called them.

And immediately he called them; and leaving their father Zebedee in the boat with the hired servants, they went after him.

Oἱ δὲ εὐθέως ἀφέντες τὰ δίκτυα, ἠκολούθησαν αὐτῷ.

And immediately they left the nets, they followed him.

When he was walking by the sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon who is called Petros, and Andreas his brother, they were casting a net into the sea; for they were fishermen.

Περιπατῶν δὲ παρὰ τὴν θάλασσαν τῆς Γαλιλαίας, εἶδε Σίμωνα καὶ Ἀνδρέαν τὸν ἀδελφὸν αὐτοῦ βάλλοντας ἀμφίβληστρον ἐν τῇ θαλάσσῃ· ἦσαν γὰρ ἁλιεῖς.

Now as he walked by the sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and Andrew his brother casting a net into the sea for they were fishers.

Ἀπὸ τότε ἤρξατο ὁ Ἰησοῦς κηρύσσειν καὶ λέγειν, μετανοεῖτε, ἤγγικε γὰρ ἡ βασιλεία τῶν οὐρανῶν.

From that time Iesus began to preach, and say, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near.”

καὶ λέγων ὅτι· Πεπλήρωται ὁ καιρὸς, καὶ ἤγγικεν ἡ βασιλεία τοῦ Θεοῦ· μετανοεῖτε, καὶ πιστεύετε ἐν τῷ εὐαγγελίῳ.

and he said that, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is near; repent, and believe in the gospel.”

ὁ λαὸς ὁ καθήμενος ἐν σκότει εἶδεν φῶς μέγα, καὶ τοῖς καθημένοις ἐν χώρᾳ καὶ σκιᾷ θανάτου φῶς ἀνέτειλεν αὐτοῖς.

The people who sat in darkness saw a great light, and those who were sitting in the region and shadow of death, a light has risen to them.

γῆ Ζαβουλὼν καὶ γῆ Νεφθαλείμ, ὁδὸν θαλάσσης, πέραν τοῦ Ἰορδάνου, Γαλιλαία τῶν ἐθνῶν,

The land of Zebulun, and the land of Naphtali, by the way of the sea, beyond Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles,

ἵνα πληρωθῇ τὸ ῥηθὲν διὰ Ἡσαΐου τοῦ προφήτου λέγοντος·

That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying,

Kαὶ καταλιπὼν τὴν Ναζαρὲθ ἐλθὼν κατῴκησεν εἰς Καπερναοὺμ τὴν παραθαλασσίαν ἐν ὁρίοις Ζαβουλὼν καὶ Νεφθαλείμ·

And leaving Nazareth, he came to dwell in Capernaum by the sea, in the region of Zebulun and Naphtali.

Ἀκούσας δὲ ὁ Ἰησοῦς ὅτι Ἰωάννης παρεδόθη ἀνεχώρησεν εἰς τὴν Γαλιλαίαν.

Now when Jesus heard that John had been arrested, he departed to Galilee.

Μετὰ δὲ τὸ παραδοθῆναι τὸν Ἰωάννην, ἦλθεν ὁ Ἰησοῦς εἰς τὴν Γαλιλαίαν, κηρύσσων τὸ εὐαγγέλιον τῆς βασιλείας τοῦ Θεοῦ·

Now after John was arrested, Jesus came to Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God;

Luke 4:14

Καὶ ὑπέστρεψεν ὁ Ἰησοῦς ἐν τῇ δυνάμει τοῦ πνεύματος εἰς τὴν Γαλιλαίαν· καὶ φήμη ἐξῆλθε καθ’ ὅλης τῆς περιχώρου περὶ αὐτοῦ.
