How narrow is the gate and narrower is the way that leads to life, and very few are those who find it!
Gospel According To Matthew
How narrow is the gate and narrower is the way that leads to life, and very few are those who find it!
Enter through the narrow gate, for wide is the gate, and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it.
In everything, therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do you also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.
If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in Heaven give good things to those who ask Him?
And if he asks for a fish, will he give him a snake?
Or what man is there among you, who if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone?
For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened.
Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.
Do not give what is holy to dogs, and do not cast your pearls before pigs, lest they trample them under their feet, then turn and rend you.
You hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to cast out the beam out of your brother’s eye.
